Luke33

Gospel for Everyone — A Global Scripture Initiative for 2033

Executive Overview

Luke33 is a global Gospel initiative aligned with the year 2033, marking 2,000 years since the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Luke33 is a 24-episode cinematic animated presentation of the Gospel of Luke, preserving all 1,151 verses word-for-word without paraphrase or editorial reinterpretation.

Luke33 is not merely new content. It is a purpose-built digital Gospel platform — engineered to extend Gospel access across languages and communication contexts through cinematic, signed, symbolic, and oral deployment.

The 2033 Moment

The year 2033 represents a historic milestone for the global Church.

This is more than a commemorative date. It is a defining moment — a once-in-a-generation opportunity to proclaim the Gospel at global scale.

For the first time in history, the Church possesses substantial translation progress across written languages, mature digital distribution networks, and the cinematic technology necessary to present Scripture with global reach.

Luke33 exists to help steward this moment with decisive action.

The Global Reality of Gospel Access

Of the world’s 7,159 living languages, approximately 2,000 language communities have a complete New Testament or full Gospel in their primary language. More than 5,000 language communities do not.

≈ 2,000 Language Communities

5,000+ Language Communities

Complete Gospel text in the language

Gospel films in the language

Functioning written ecosystem in the language

Visual or oral Scripture access in the language

The result is not a lack of global effort — but a structural imbalance of Gospel access across languages.

Luke33 is a purpose-built digital Gospel platform — created to close the language access gap at global scale.

One Foundation. Three Strategic Innovations.

Luke33 begins with a foundational spoken-language production of the Gospel of Luke — leveraging approximately 2,000 existing written translations and building outward toward the thousands of language communities still without full Gospel access.

This foundational production establishes the complete digital architecture of the series: cinematic environments, character models, motion-capture performances, lighting systems, camera choreography, and narrative sequencing. These core assets are built once and reused across all subsequent editions.

By designing the spoken production as reusable digital infrastructure rather than a single-format presentation, Luke33 dramatically reduces marginal deployment costs and enables scalable expansion into new languages without restarting production.

From this foundation emerge three structural innovations in Gospel deployment:

1 — EMBEDDED SIGN-LANGUAGE CHARACTERS

Luke33 integrates sign-language directly into the cinematic narrative itself. Rather than adding interpreter overlays, characters sign within the story world — embedding signed communication into the visual and dramatic structure of the Gospel.

This establishes a scalable framework capable of expanding across the world’s 350+ sign languages. By building with shared sign roots and narrative alignment at the architectural level, Luke33 creates a foundation from which additional sign-language editions can be developed more efficiently and authentically.

Instead of retrofitting sign after production, signed expression is woven into the core design of the series — positioning Luke33 as a structural advancement in Scripture access for Deaf communities worldwide.

2 — SUN (SYMBOLIC UNIVERSAL NOTATION)

A structured visual framework designed for Deaf individuals outside formal sign-language systems — unlocking narrative comprehension where neither written text nor signed translation is sufficient.

SUN functions as an integrated symbolic layer within the animation, providing conceptual clarity through visual meaning rather than linguistic text. Because the system can be learned in weeks rather than years, it accelerates initial Gospel access and serves as a structured bridge toward formal sign-language acquisition and fuller participation in Deaf linguistic communities.

Rather than replacing sign language, SUN is intentionally designed as an on-ramp — enabling early access to the Gospel while actively guiding learners toward long-term sign-language development.

3 — ORAL GLOSS DEPLOYMENT

A structured natural-sound edition enabling trained local speakers to render the Gospel orally in languages without written Scripture or literacy infrastructure.

Oral Gloss enables rapid heart-language deployment into oral-majority communities while long-term translation efforts continue — extending Gospel access into language communities where no functioning written ecosystem currently exists.

Built for Scale — Already Underway

Luke33 integrates performance capture, real-time Unreal Engine environments, and enhanced AI-assisted animation to achieve cinematic realism with global scalability.

Core digital sets, characters, and animation systems are built once and reused — enabling expansion across languages and all three innovation layers without restarting production.

Chapter 1 is already in active production, establishing the creative, theological, and technical foundation for phased global growth toward 2033.

Governance and Accountability

Luke33 is being developed with clear theological accountability, linguistic integrity safeguards, and partnership governance structures — designed to align with and serve churches, mission agencies, and Bible translation efforts worldwide.

The project will be overseen by The Luke Commission, a newly formed governing body composed of denominational leaders, linguistic experts, theologians, and respected ministry leaders. This structure ensures doctrinal faithfulness, translation integrity, and responsible global collaboration as Luke33 expands across languages.

Production Leadership

Luke33 is produced by Steve Cleary, Founder and CEO of RevelationMedia — producer of the award-winning animated feature film The Pilgrim’s Progress (2019), the feature documentary-drama Tortured for Christ (2018), and the ongoing visual Scripture initiative iBIBLE.

The Opportunity

As 2033 approaches, the Church has a rare opportunity — not only to commemorate a historic anniversary, but to steward it with decisive action.

The Gospel of Luke in every language, for every people, within this generation.

The moment is fixed. The window is open. The opportunity is before us.
