Creation
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. God formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living soul.
The Fall
The serpent came to Eve and asked, "Did God really say not to eat of any tree in the garden?" Tempted by the serpent's words, Eve went against God's command and ate of the fruit and shared it with her husband.
Cain and Abel
Adam and Eve had two sons: Cain and Abel. The LORD accepted Abel and his offering, but He did not accept Cain or his offering. Cain became angry. When they were in the field together, Cain turned on his brother Abel and killed him.
The Great Flood (Part 1)
God saw that the people on earth were wicked. Noah, however, walked with God. God gave instructions to Noah to build an ark. Noah did just as God had commanded him and entered the ark. It rained on the earth 40 days and 40 nights.
The Great Flood (Part 2)
After a year on the ark, God spoke to Noah, saying "Come out from the ark." God established His covenant with every living creature on the earth. God set his bow in the clouds as a sign of a covenant between Him and the earth.
The Tower of Babel
The people settled in the land of Shinar, desiring to make a name for themselves. The LORD came down to see their city and their tower. The LORD scattered the people all over the earth, and the building of the city and the tower stopped.
Job (Part 1): Tribulation
Job was blameless and upright. He was the wealthiest man in all the east. Satan said to the LORD, "Take away everything Job has then see if he will not curse You to Your face." In all of his affliction, Job did not curse God.
